All of us have someone or the other whom we consider our guide and mentor. It may be our father or someone we respect and love as we would our father. On Father's Day, everybody takes the opportunity to tell his/her father how much he is loved and appreciated.
Father's Day is a personal celebration and thus the nature and style of celebrations differ from person to person and culture to culture. Some of us make hand made cards with heart touching messages or quotations for their father. Then there are those who try to bridge all differences, physical or emotional, on this day by spending some time with their dad on Fathers Day.
Also, some children present many Father's Day gifts to their dearest dad on this day. From fresh Father's Day flowers to Father's Day cards, gift basket or personalised gifts, accessories etc. to their father. One can add to this with gifts of experience like making his favourite meal, planning a day out and so on. Some people also like to throw a Father's Day party and invite people close to him, his friends, acquaintances and relatives.
To many children, this is the most special way of expressing affection for their dad on Father's Day. And, to let him know that everything he does for the family is appreciated from the bottom of their heart.
