Types of Holi Pichkaris or Water Guns


No Holi celebration is complete without one or many water fights. Everything from buckets to balloons to water guns (pichkari) and even hands can be the tool for these fun water games that are part of any Holi colour play. The basis of a water fight is to completely soak or drench other people and at the same time, staying dry yourself.

There are many different kinds of water guns or pichkaris that are used these days. Some of these are,

Two Way Sprinkler/Water Gun
As the name itself suggests, this water gun can squirt coloured water both ways. It is very easy to befool someone with this pichkari.

Pressure Gun Pichkari/Water Gun
These water guns are attached with a stylish tank for storing Holi colour/water and is provided with a fancy trigger. Coloured water need not be filled again and again for playing.

Colourful Pipe Shaped Pichkari
These traditional pichkaris work with a simple push mechanism. Holi pichkaris or water guns of such a shape are available in many colours and design patterns.

Water Guns in Unusual Shapes
Bikes, rats, elephant faces, guns to an engine or a knob, one can find water guns in various shapes and sizes. These adorable and unique pichkaris are very popular with small children.
