International Women's Day

International Women's Day is celebrated annually as well as universally to adore female endeavor over the years. This celebration has its roots in the famous labor movement of 19th & 20th century when women employees protested low wages and poor working conditions in a textile industry. It was celebrated first on 8th March, 1911, which exclusively led the theme of Universal Female Suffrage.

The day commemorates several years of women's struggle for peace, equality, liberty, justice, and development all over the world. It is a day to honor great achievements and contributions of women at home and outside for the betterment of entire community as well as overall society.

It is also day to recognize women's advancements. Symbolized by bread and roses, International Women's Day represents the past and present struggle & efforts of women to live a better life. They emphasize on women empowerment to avert all socio-economic disparities prevailing in the society.

Numerous programs are held to venerate womanhood and fill all gaps that make them different from men in ordinary life. It is a special occasion to make a social, economic and political statement that is associated with the collective “interests” of women.

So celebrate International Women's Day on March 8 this year to enjoy the bliss of being created as woman in this world. This emerges as women specific festival to recognize women's strength and to best support them. It is a day to pledge continue fighting for our rights and giving them a safe world where women are not raped, tortured and killed.
